As many of you already know, we recently got offered an internship in Juneau, Alaska. After giving it some thought, we accepted the opportunity. We figure that this is the only time we'll be able to just drop everything and head off on an adventure, given the fact that I'll be a college grad come December, so in 18 days we'll be boarding a plane for Alaska. For those of you who are curious about what we'll be doing, please continue reading. For those of you who aren't, please scroll down, click on the post a comment link, and dazzle us with your wit.
The internship is with a company called Del Sol. Their products all change colors when exposed to the sun. As such, their stores are located in areas that are typically visited by tourists. Juneau happens to be a popular destination in the Alaskan cruise industry. Our main responsibility will just be working in the store in Juneau. We're pretty excited about this, and we imagine that we will meet our fair share of crazies, and be able to tell lots of interesting stories. In the event that we can't, we'll simply make things up and see how gullible our family and friends are. Aside from the retailing, the managers do a lot of marketing with the cruise ships, and I hope to be able to help out in this area.

First of all, congratulations!! That's very exciting. And I absolutely encourage you to take the chance to have an adventure now, while you can. You won't regret it.
Secondly, I have a question -- will Ashley have another run in with a caribou? Do tell!
Congrats! Sounds like fun going to live in (Ashley's own words) a tropical rain forest! Woot!
We (not just our hair) will miss you, but I know you two will have a blast. Paris was amazing, and it was a "leave in 3 weeks" sort of summer, too. You won't regret it. The caribou might.
I've been up here 7 years now and have yet to have anything that could be considered a "run in with a caribou," but I don't doubt that Ashley will be sure to run in to one while she is here! We hope to see you while you're here.
Some of you seem to be unaware of Ashley's caribou story, so I'll share. Some time ago, Ashley, Julie, and I'm not sure who else went to see Richelle. While they were there they went to a place much like our own Hardware ranch, only instead of Elk, it was Caribou (Reindeer). I'm sure the instructions were given not to look the animals in the eye, as it is a sign of aggression. Most likely Ashley wasn't paying attention to this, however, and proceeded to do just that. She then found herself the lucky recipient of a reindeer attack. And there you have it. Anyone surprised?
Congratulations guys, I second Bart's recommendation - go on adventures while you can, because it won't last forever!
